About Mountain Boogie

Mountain Boogie is as much a philosophy as a company. It is about creating learning environments that motivate, encourage, and inspire people to get in touch with their "inner boogie.” Whatever your current level of ability or future goals, Mountain Boogie is about making the journey up your chosen slope personally meaningful, and deeply boogie-tastic!

Charles E Lumpkins

Over the years I've responded to Charles, Charlie, Chuck, Carlos, Mr. Charlie, Teacher Charlie and Mr. Lumpkins. Whatever you call me, I was born outside of Boston in the early 80s. At the tender age of eight months however, my parents decided to relocate to wilderness of Maine. After nine formative years among pine trees and black bears we moved to Pennsylvania, and it was there during my preteens I began my formal studies in music and yoga and discovered my deep passion for education through volunteering at an afterschool program. After nearly 20 years in the Keystone state my wife and I relocated to Durham North Carolina in 2011 where we spent four wonderful years. Flagstaff called us in the fall of 2015 and we now plan to call this lovely town “home.” It is with great excitement I embark on Mountain Boogie, which represents a synthesis of my main interests in life; music, movement and sharing with others.
